Got Bra-blems?

Hello Sunshine’s,

I first would like to wish you all a happy, happy new year and may this be the best, the most successful and the most impeccably styled year ever!

So today I’m writing my first ever collaborated post, how exciting is that! And we are discussing ….drumsroll please….bra problems, yes that so important fella we all need but ever so annoying he gets to be the first one off as soon as I get home(anyone ?)

So I’m one of those tiny chested ladies( proud to be) and believe it or not, shopping for a bra is just plain agony.

If I do find the scarce size 32 AA then the band around my body will be too tight or to wide which either one of the two: cut circulation and weals at the end of the day

A perfect cup and a wide band. Solution here is to hook the bra beyond the three hook sizes which are too big onto a hem or stitching in the actual bra…hello holes! Imagine now having to undress in front of others!!

Now if by some miracle the band fits snuggly around my body, the cups are never the right size, leading to these gaping holes on the top of my bra where the fullness of my girls is clearly lacking! Tighten the straps, you might think…already done and there comes the under boob.  There is no winning here!!!

I wish there would be bra designers who are sensitive to the teeny chested woman and cater for body size + cup size to the T. Maybe that should be my next business venture hey. In the meantime I will be over here with my gaping bra cups or my snug holey bra (as I put my hand inside my shirt to fish out my strapless bra as it makes its way to my navel**)

Please comment down below and let me know if you have any bra- blems you are dealing with or dealt with and what solutions you took to rectify so we can all get to that chic factor in 2016.

Here is a chart created by ThirdLove that I hope will help you as you go pick out your next bra. Definitely check out ThirdLove’s bra collection! Till next time, happy shopping!

Stay chic and beautiful,

Hi sunshines

So we are officially getting some sun here in SA. And we all know that means lovely, daring, cute, weird( am I even allowed to use that word?), creative OOTDs on the street. So I thought to myself, mmm why not document these … and here we are, me writing this first of many posts and you my darlings reading it. Hope this series excites you as much as it does me.

Our first model is Vee. I met her at a chip shop and I was like looky here what found.

I absolutely loved how she played with two trends to come up with this simple but fresh look.

The sneakers lean towards the sporty trend that has taken over the fashion world by storm, and the colourful the better.

The leather crop to just took a rather simple ensemble and toughened up with a punky feel. Fierce ….

Rate this look from a scale of 1-5 with 1 being a NO and 5 being a Si’  . Look out for more style diaries instalments fresh off the streets of East London,ZA.

As always God bless and stay chic & beautiful,

Winter Favourites

Hello Sunshine’s

Thank you for stopping by again. So I thought it would be cool to share some of my faves from the past winter season as we in SA are jumping into Spring but most of you my readers are only getting the chills 🙂

So I’m gonna break up the post to cover beauty, hair, fashion and lifestyle faces as the blog is all about all these things. Alrighty then let’s jump right into it.

So I went ahead and coloured my hair for a daring change! This meant lots of care and moisture should go with the colour to prevent any breakage. I am totally in love with these oils in doing just that and I’m gonna stick to using them religiously till further notice

You can buy both the Amla Legend Oil of S 7 Wonders and the #easywaves coconut oil at Dischem and Clicks Pharmacies.

I recently got introduced to a wonderful South African company called Inuka Fragrances and they manufacture perfumes and body care products inspired by high end names like Dolce & Gabbana, Issey Miyake, Chanel and the list justcgoes on. So I tried their products and was pleasantly surprised at how accurate they were with the sents. I have been using their Marc Jacobs Daisy fragrance and body lotion. The lotion is thick and creamy and it totally busted my otherwise ashy dry skin.

I have been loving orange lipstick for the winter for some reason, and have constantly been drawn to this Yardley Supermoist Lipstick in the shade Coral Sensation and love the colour it breathed to my looks.

I went into Clicks and saw these TLC brand wipes and they promised to be a triple threat cleanser, toner and moisturizer when used. So after a long day with a full made up face I was ready to put them to the test. I wiped my face clean and didn’t moisturize and I’m glad to say I woke up with a perfectly moisturized face in the morning. Next time you see them on the beauty aisle be sure to pick them up…but I’m all for moisturizing so use your night cream.

Elizabeth Arden was kind enough to gift me with a hamper that contained their ceramics mascara which has treating benefits for lash strength..and I’m a happy girl.

Now its easy to be left with sallow looking skin in winter just because of the dry air. I used this Accessorize Baked bronzer duo in the shade Pearl Sands Shade 1 to keep that sunkissed glow on my cheeks even during the winter. So glowy 🙂

Fuzzy sweaters are just too adorable to pass up. I was so happy with how they were so versatile in that they are both lightweight but warm enough to keep the chills out. I layered these for both casual and formal looks and they literally go with anything.

Next on my winter style list were ankle booties. These 2 were my faces because they are neutral colours and went with almost anything in my closet.

Last but definitely not the least is water. Yes its cold and yes you might think you are not loosing water that much cause you are not sweating but that’s not the case. The wind outside is dry and it does take out of you, so before we take care of the outside we must take good care of what goes into our bodies and water is the most important. And if you find plain water boring try the flavoured waters that are all over the internet, they are as healthy as they are yummy to look at and actually enjoy

Let me know on the comments how you deal with the winter season.

As always God bless. Stay chic and beautiful
